Australia closes crocodile swimming holes

Not surprisingly, tour operators have objected to they’ll now have to find more expensive alternatives to ‘a dip in the billabong’. I recall it was big news at the time as the girl had just flown into Australia after being in Bali during the bombings. I hope backpackers are smart about this, as I’m sure some operators – and travelers – will ignore the closings. For more: Australia closes crocodile swimming holes
