Darwin- Restaurant Review: Relish

Relish

An awesome kitchy litte café reminiscent of Santa Fe. There are wood framed ceiling hangings, dirt red walls, local art, and an eclectic selection of collectibles including an R2D2, mini deer head, dash board, and gold high-heels all hanging from the menu boards.

A little out of the way from the usual backpacker scene of Mitchell street- this place is mostly frequented by the local business crowd. Only open M-F, the clientele are in various states of dress from morning running gear to office garb, either grabbing a quick cup to go or lounging with a copy of the daily paper.

The selection of pesto eggs, morrocan beet salad, fritatta- and even gluten free pastries will leave people with all eating issues happy. The coffee was smooth with a gorgeous foamy head. “I support the arts and I vote” is proudly displayed on the cash register, and it must be true. The counter is littered with fliers and invites to gallery openings and artwork by local artists for sale. Very homey and comfortable. 1/35 Cavenagh Street. Breakfast and Lunch.
