Mudgee, New South Wales, More than just a Wine Region

image401.GIF Mudgee, 3 hours from Sydney and only 8000 people, but for all of that, this friendly country town has got it goin’ on! Over 50 Cellar Doors (places to try wine), vineyards as far as the eye can see, rolling hills, and a couple of rivers make this a pretty snazzy locale for adventure, getting back to nature and ….romance….. I’ll be writing several pieces on Mudgee in the upcoming weeks. To get you started here is a preview of some events that Mudgee plays host to.
Mudfest Short Film Festival. Sydney was a bit of a drive for the residents of Mudgee to go see Flickerfest. So they banded together with the help of Elliot Rocke Estate Winery and decided to host their own! 17 March 2007. (probably no green beer for you St. Patty’s Day lovers, but plenty of wine!)
Wings Wheels and Wine 2007 21st April 2007. Higher! Faster! Louder! And Tastier! An Air Show, Auto show, Motorcycle Expo, and Food Fest. For further information, please contact Rob Duffy Ph 0401 136 182.
