Anti-Americanism bad: Treasurer

Why the hell is this guy talking about anti-Americanism in the first place? Treasurer Peter Costello claims that Australian school children are learning anti-America attitudes from their left-leaning teachers, who, he assumes, have the same viewpoints as they did when he attended university in the 1970s.
