Travel rise helps firm sell more ID cards

Franz Jost is grateful that international travel, particularly in Europe, has picked up.

It’s keeping his company, International Student Exchange Cards, busier than it has been in the past three years. And it has helped him add an additional employee.

“Overall, our sales are ahead of pre-9/11 levels but only due to foreign sales,” said Jost, president of the Scottsdale-based company, which employs six people. “Our U.S. sales are lagging, but we hope that in 2005 (that) U.S. sales will get back to what they were in 2001.”
