PETALING JAYA: Malaysians were the biggest group of people who were refused entry into Australia in the past year because they “could not convince” Australian Immigration officials that they were entering for tourism purposes and not for employment.
Australian High Commissioner James Wise said 419 Malaysians were refused entry at the country’s airports and immediately sent home under such circumstances despite holding a valid electronic travel authority (ETA).
