Yes I agree the best time to visit Melbourne is in Autumn. If you have a couple of days to spare , make sure you drive down the Great Ocean Road. If you are going to country towns like Port Fairy or Portland, it may take from 4-6 hours one way. The ocean views are spectacular and try to visit the Otway Fly which is a walk along the suspension bridge through the rain fore.st trees
