Can any one clarify me about these doubts that I have about australian lotteries.
1).We all know that US population is far more than Australia, which infers that more people in USA play lottery than in Australia. For instance we take example of POWERBALL. Its the same procedure that has been followed to draw the numbers of Powerball in both the countries. You might have seen today in the newspapers that someone in USA has won US$ 363 million jackpot. Which means that the powerball lottery which might have started at 2+ million has jackpotted for many weeks to accumulate to the prize money of 363 million US dollars. The powerball in Australia has never jackpotted to more than 30 million australian dollars. So, simple probability in Maths and lottery history of USA states that atleast one time in the australian lottery history of powerball, it has to be jackpotted to 300 million dollars plus. It never happens why??????
2). 99% of the times, the Tattslotto of saturday which is 3 million dollars only, is won by 5 or 6 people, but according to the maths probability thats almost impossible , atleast, once it has to jackpot to 30 or 50 or 100 million, which has to be accumulated with people not winning for many weeks. Look into the winning history of tattslotto for further clarification.
3). Lottery is nothing but luck .Every country its the same. Why does the Tattersalls has these identity cards which keeps track of peoples playing history and also who played what numbers? The reason might have been told that if you lose the winning ticket we still pay you or we will inform you if you are a winner and you might be old enough or careless so you might lose the ticket. In which country do you think they dont have these old people or people who are careless who might lose their tickets. Its lottery, its luck, its you who bought the ticket and you are responsile to check the numbers. If you dont check and throw away the winning ticket its nothing but the fate. No one to blame. But why do they have to know and keep track about the info that you are playing lottery for 20 or 30 or 40 years!!!???? and finally you have won??!!!???
If Iam wrong please clarify me!!
Go Aussie go!!!
That sucks…if she had discovered it back in 1992, she could have used that $75K to do something that would have earned her much more than that by now.
