How old are you?

A student in Sydney (and I’m assuming here that it was a university student) has nearly karked it from eating slugs:

Man nearly dies eating slugs

(Thx Joe E for this gem)

You know how kids can be the meanest things on the planet and you do all sorts of nasty things to each other… Well, when I was a little horror [all growed up and norse now of course!], as part of the ‘initiation into our club’ [y'know, the little 'club' you have with your neighbours/kids in your street to ride your bikes with, play war games, have 'camp-outs', etc...], we [my delightful sister and I] made our, 6/7yo[?] neighbour [Tina Byles god love 'er], eat, ahem, a witchety grub, in order to join the club! Eep. I vividly remember standing there going, ‘go on, they’re really nice’! Poor dear bit its head off and nearly gagged!

She didn’t die. She got to ride bikes with us.

Oh kids are SO evil…

And adults are even more evil sometimes and shouldn’t they know better.

Well, Ging, you got me beat. All I did was threaten the kids on the block with no candy from my parents’ store that I thought they got free. Power is a wonderful feeling and hard not to abuse.

Bush Tucker Man would have eaten them, looked in the camera and said ‘not a bad feed, been eating ‘em all me life’.
