A SHY plumber high on drugs was “trying his luck” when he made sexual advances to young female backpackers asleep in their beds, a court heard yesterday.
Damien Peter Auksorius had difficulty meeting women and saw backpacker hostels as a place where he could meet them, his lawyer David Schreuder told the Hobart Magistrates Court.
