Bali Nine Trials: Death Penalty and Life Terms

Gee, aren’t these Australians s-m-r-t? The so-called Bali nine have gotten their days in court, with four being sentenced to life in jail and the two leaders getting orders to face the firing squad. Three more are still awaiting their fate, but from the looks of it, I wouldn’t be booking a ticket home yet. Nick on Bali Blog has been following the trial and posting about it. It doesn’t look like as much of a storm as the Corby madness, but then again, these guys were pretty much caught red-handed (and most of the 9 are male). Article on sentencing.

What is with the line at the bottom of the blog in brackets:
(and most of the 9 are male)?

By any chance was this written by a female or what are you trying to say?

I think Court was trying to say that the Bali 9 are not getting as much media attention cos most are male and not young attractive females that look great on camera for the evening news. Average Joes who get busted red-handed don’t generate much sympathy and hence become a line item rather than a natioanl spectacle.

I think that this person who had posted this has to deliver the news to a point where it isn’t biased. It is clear that this article is being biast by providing their own input for example “Gee, aren’t these Australians s-m-r-t?” Therefor, this person should reconsider what they have written.
