Australians Caught in Katrina Storm and Aftermath

Halfway across the world, Australia can’t escape the devastation of Katrina. The country is pledging 10 million dollars to aid in rebuilding costs. Although more than 30 Australians have been removed from the New Orleans area, 40 or so are still missing or in the region. Some Australian tourists tell of ‘murder and rape‘ in the sports dome where up to 20,000 people were housed.
