Where to start with the Falconio story? You may recall, the Peter Falconio murder occured in 2001, when he and his girlfriend were attacked in the outback. She survived and the story was the basis for the horror flick Wolf Creek that prosecutors are now opening to delay the release. A suspect was captured a few months later on unrelated rape charges. Australia is gripped by the Falconio mystery - the biggest since the “dingo ate my baby” trial. The girlfriend, Joanne Lees, has given dramatic testimony regarding the attack. The trial is expected to last up to two months and has already gotten dirty - Lees admitted to an affair while still going out with Falconio.
