Parents Want ‘Young to Live Dreams Safely’

Her mother Marjorie Marks-Stuttle, 55, and her brother, chef Richard, 26, have set up Caroline’s Rainbow Foundation to help young backpackers who find themselves in trouble abroad.

From Parents Want ‘Young to Live Dreams Safely’

Caroline Stuttle was killed by a hopped up, transient drug addict in Bundaberg, Queensland while traveling on her gap year in 2002. The killer was recently sentenced to life in prison. To quote from the article, “The foundation aims to help young backpackers in Australia who may have found themselves in difficulties and require emergency accommodation.” Although I think this sounds like a novel idea, I guess I don’t know how needed it is? Or how well it will be carried out?
