MINING, education, health and public service sectors will need to aggressively recruit young people to survive, the first in-depth analysis of the state’s workforce has revealed.
Fewer than 10 per cent of people aged under 25 are choosing careers in these industries – sparking a potential labour crisis.
Hospitality, tourism and retail are most successful at attracting young people, with more than 35 per cent of employees aged under 25.
