Having worked in the Fashion Industry as a Model in both cities (among others)- I would have to say that it depends what you are looking for. Sydney is more trend orientated, a bit cutting-edge even crazy when it comes to what you will see people wear on the street and on the runway. Melbourne is a little toned down, more on the smart style and classic fashion. In a nut shell, Retro is to Classic, like Sydney is to Melbourne. Now that’s just my opinion, and a biased one at that - but Melbourne wins hands down!
